Downtown Campus Tour

We are a regional campus of the consistently top-ranked UCSF School of Medicine.

As a regional medical campus, UCSF Fresno carries out its training and patient care charge through a network of affiliated partners. This campus tour focuses on clinical training sites in downtown Fresno, California. However, we have many training locations including:

VA Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS), located in Fresno, just a few miles north of UCSF Fresno, is part of VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN21), which includes facilities in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. VACCHCS is a 57-bed acute care, general medical and surgical center with state-of-the-art primary, secondary and tertiary care in major diagnostic, and treatment specializations. In addition, a 54-bed Community Living Center (CLC) is located on campus and provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation care. UCSF Fresno is proud to help care for our nation’s veterans. The VACCHCS Fresno Medical Center is a primary training site for the Internal Medicine Residency Program and several of its fellowship programs.

With the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Sacramento and Los Angeles, a regional burn center, acute care hospitals and numerous non-hospital programs, Fresno is the center of health care in central California.
